We pride ourselves on giving the town that we love the best service possible, with the best equipment available in today's market. In the troubled days of today, with budget crunches and tightened wallets, achieving this mission is becoming more and more difficult. The annual town Fire Department municipal budget doesn't always allow us to purchase the all equipment that we need to serve our town and residents. Each year the York Fire Department Corporation sends out a fundraising flyer. This fund drive is geared toward funding our every day corporation costs (Bottled Water, Fireman's Field Day and Dinner, Uniforms, Office Supplies, Firefighting Equipment, etc). With today's economy, these costs have gone up over the years, making it difficult for us to purchase equipment that we ultimately wouldn't be able to purchase with the municipal budget.

Because of this, we are in the process of planning some very exiting fundraising events in the near future. These events will be geared toward two major objectives.  One objective is raising money needed to purchase certain equipment that we believe is needed to do our job. The members of the York Village Fire Department have come up with a "wish list" of the items we are raising money for. Please take some time and go to the "Wish List" section of the webpage and look through these items, look at the costs, the functions, the benefits of having them on our trucks.  The second objective is to raise money for our firefighter relief fund, which is there to support York Firefighters who may become in need due to injury or illness.
